                DivisiOn Using A nUmber Line

                A number line can be used for division.

                Let us use the number line to find 10 ÷ 2.

                Finding 10 ÷ 2 means finding the number of 2s in 10.
                On the number line, start from 10 and move backwards 2 steps each time to reach
                0, as shown below.













                How many jumps have we taken to reach 0? We have made 5 jumps of 2 each.
                So, 10 ÷ 2 = 5.
